Supportive Counseling
The Supportive Counselling Program at Aboriginal Counseling Services Association of Alberta (ACSA) offers individual, one-on-one counselling for Indigenous community members seeking support, healing, and connection.
Through NIHB, counselling services are available for First Nations and Inuit clients of all ages with treaty status.
Rooted in Indigenous worldviews and guided by the Seven Sacred Laws—Love, Respect, Courage, Honesty, Wisdom, Humility, and Truth—our program provides culturally safe, trauma-informed, and client-centered care.
This program is open to Indigenous people of all ages & genders. Whether you are navigating a crisis, exploring past trauma, or seeking personal growth, you will find a safe, non-judgmental, and affirming space to be heard, supported, and empowered.
Philosophy
We recognize that healing is a deeply personal and sacred journey. Our therapists work in partnership with each client, honouring their lived experiences, strengths, and cultural identity. We believe that every person is the expert of their own story, and our role is to walk beside them—offering support, tools, and traditional knowledge that help nurture resilience and restore balance to the mind, body, spirit, and emotions.
